It’s our last day in London and it’s raining outside.

I haven’t stayed in London for long, but in this foreign land I can feel the sincerity and kindness here. Not all black people are ruffians, and not all white people are alcoholics — and the same goes for us Orientals. There is no prejudice against Europeans. During the two months in London I felt more politeness and respect than we may ever get used to at home.

We took the train to Westminster today, and Big Ben is around there. I got off at your favourite station, Charing Cross, and I wish you had been there when I got off, so you could see the scenery.

There is a plaza near Charing Cross Street Station where many Iranians are protesting today against the heroes who died for their country, and many Hong Kongers are protesting against China’s COVID policy.
